On the eleventh day of Christmas…

…my true love sent to me: Junction 11, ten Sweeney’s pies, nine Whitley Crescent, eight Russell Terrace, Seven Bridges House, six hexagons, five Abbey gates, four time pieces, three Thames bridges, two ancient monuments and an Inner Distribution Road.

Little Lea Cottage

The southern boundary of Reading just includes most of Junction 11 and a very short stretch of the M4 either side. The No 7 Tiger to Fleet is worth a trip for the experience of cutting through the middle of the junction on the bus lane.

The address of the Reading FC ground, recently renamed the Select Car Leasing Stadium, is Junction 11 M4, Reading, Berkshire RG2 0FL.

Even closer to Junction 11 is Reading’s most southerly listed building, early seventeenth century Little Lea cottage (1303791) (pictured).
