We launched an informal public consultation on the draft revised The Mount Conservation Area Appraisal at a community meeting at The Progress Theatre on The Mount on Wednesday 25 March 2026. Comments were collated and updates made to the draft where appropriate before it was submitted to Reading Borough Council as our final draft.
The Strategic Environment, Planning and Transport Committee (SEPT) on 23 June endorsed the draft for formal public consultation. Link to SEPT meeting papers and recording.
A community meeting to discuss The Mount CA was held at the Queens Head on Christchurch Road on 10 December 2025 (see news page).
We have made a start with our review of The Mount Conservation Area Appraisal. The last review was published in April 2009 and can be found on Reading Borough Council’s website.
