An informal public consultation on the draft revised The Mount Conservation Area Appraisal was launched at a community meeting at The Progress Theatre on The Mount on Wednesday 25 March 2026. The draft revised appraisal (v6.0) and appendices can be downloaded below.

A community meeting to discuss The Mount CA was held at the Queens Head on Christchurch Road on 10 December 2025 (see news page).
We have made a start with our review of The Mount Conservation Area Appraisal. The last review was published in April 2009 and can be found on Reading Borough Council’s website.
